10/18/16, Tuesday: Gila Bend, AZ to El Centro, CA

Shortly after entering California, we saw some Sahara-like sand dunes as we passed through the Imperial Dunes Recreation Area. Fun to see, but I don't think you could slide 'em like the ones at White Sands!

Tonight we camped at Lake Sunbeam RV Resort. We decided to take a dip in the pool. It was very refreshing, but only briefly. We decided it was a bit chilly for lounging and moved over to the Jacuzzi, where we maybe stayed too long, first talking to a snowbird from Michigan, and then to a couple from nearby Pine Valley.
